The title of this blog is a question I've been getting asked a lot. I've been asked this by my parents, my brother, my friend, and my school. The truth is I have no clue what I want to do in life. And if you ask me I don't really think its a good question to ask a 17 year old. I know I want to have a family in the future, and a great career. But i really don't know if that will happen to me. There are so many things in life that you don't have control of.
There are things that can alter your life, and change your plans for the future. One thing is certain you will meet people in life that will have a positive impact and a negative impact on your life. I think the strange part of life is the unpredictability we all face. Life is so unpredictable we don't when its going to end.
In conclusion I believe its not a fair question to ask a 17 year old what he wants to do in life because, no one growing up really knows what they want to do in life. I remember last year I was really into political science. I thought that is what I was going to do in life, politics. But one year later i could care less about any of it. I'm not trying to put down anyone with this blog. If you believe that you will be a doctor or a cop or anything else, go for it. All I'm saying is that there so many obstacles in life that you'll need to overcome.
Steven, after reading your post before this, it's nice to see you found a topic you wanted to blog about! I enjoyed this post, because you picked one topic, and stuck with it while covering several areas within this topic.
ReplyDeleteAs a senior, I know myself and everyone else is thinking about what we want to do in the future. You said I few things that I just wanted to comment on. One was you mentioning you will meet people who will impact your life. Do no take a single one of these people for granted, ESPECIALLY the one's with a positive impact. As you said, life is unpredictable. I agree with this, which is why it's so important to let these people in your life teach you all they can, good and bad. Find someone you can rely on, someone who can rely on you. This is so important in making the best life you can, and continuing on until you really do figure out what you want to do with your life.
